Mode of Action: PLOT® 60 WG is a selective systemic herbicide that is absorbed by the roots and foliage and translocates to the apex of the plants where it exerts its action. It inhibits cell division by blocking the enzyme called acetolactate synthase (ALS), which acts in the synthesis of three essential amino acids: valine, leucine and isoleucine. It can be used in corn and it is applied in early post emergence for the control of broadleaf weeds. Symptoms of the effect of Plot 60 WG of yellowing, redness and necrosis are observed 1 to 3 weeks after application, depending on the stage of development and susceptibility of the weeds.
